Last weekend Emily and I went to the The Vintage Clothing & Textile Show in Burbank, CA. It was located at the Pickwick Gardens.
They describe the show as:
“Conscientious and savvy dealers save their best material for this show, which has been running since the early 1980s. In addition to beautiful designer clothing from a variety of eras, shoppers can find bed linens, Victorian lace, draperies and cushions, decorative trims, buttons, shoes and handbags. Liven up your jewelry collection with beads, pendants, medallions, precious stones and more.”
We walked around the rooms which were filled with racks of clothing and cases of jewelry. It was very interesting to see all of the vintage pieces. I liked the jewelry and the hand bags. They were old, and yet they were still in fashion. I like the idea that every piece of jewelry has a story. Someone owned it. Someone wore it. Someone loved it. Someone received it as a gift. Someone purchased it with their last dime. Regardless of the story, I find it fascinating.
